Kevin S. Kerr

Attorney, Partner 

Since 2009, Kevin S. Kerr has worked with Merrill Schneider and the predecessor businesses, Schneider Law Offices and Schneider Kerr Law Offices, in the area of Social Security Disability law. He has appeared in over 3,000 Social Security Administrative Law Judge hearings and has handled hundreds of Federal Court appeals, focused on aggressively obtaining the greatest amount of back pay for his clients.

In 2014, he was also accredited to represent Veterans on Compensation and Pension claims, and he considers advocating for Veterans to be the most satisfying element of his work. He regularly gives Continuing Legal Education workshops on Social Security advocacy.

Helping our Veterans get the benefits they are entitled to is the most rewarding part of my job.

PERSONAL INTERESTS

In 2004, Kevin relocated to Portland from Chicago. He's still a fan of the Chicago White Sox, but he's also a fan of the Trailblazers, Seahawks, Timbers, and Thorns. Camping, hiking, and kayaking are some of his favorite ways to enjoy the magnificent scenery of the Pacific Northwest. He also participates in triathlons, coaches soccer, works on pinball machines, and volunteers at St. Philip Neri Church in SE Portland.
